Victorian Fruit Set for 18 Antique Aesthetic English Silver Plate C 1879

Fabulous Victorian Aesthetic silver-plated fruit set. Made by Martin, Hall & Co. This set comprises 41 pieces: 18 forks, 18 knives, 4 serving spoons, and grape shears. Engraved stylized ornament including flowers, leaves, and geometric bands.

Front has hinged doors and top. Fitted velvet with silk lining.

Forks and knives set in three rows of which the back two in wood and velvet frames that can be raised with loose-mounted brass ring. Serving pieces set in doors. The very best of Good Design. Ready for another century of luncheon parties. Each piece fully marked including design number registered in 1879.
