A German Art Deco silver plated jewelry casket / box by WMF. German Art Deco period silver plated jewelry casket / box by WMF circa 1925 with a classical revival design, intricate and beautifully embossed.
The silver plated body is in good a condition as one will find for a piece of WMF. It is is impeccable and there are no scratches or dents.
The loss of silver plating is minimal. The fabric lined interior is not original, the fabric was replaced some time ago and is in impeccable condition. The box has no key. Stamped with the WMF Ostrich mark in a rhombus, and the letter " K". Britannia metal, silver plated bronze. 8" H x 8" L x 5 5 1/4 W. 20.2 cm H x 20.2 cm L x 13.2 cm W. Condition : Silver plated body in Excellent condition, interior fabric not original.
