This is Genuine Old Sheffield plate from the early part of the 19th century, not later silver plate. This is a more uncommon round form with a serving dish and lower section warming stand.

Usually these entree dishes are rectangular while only the soup or gravy dishes are round or oval. It stands on four scrolled feet and is engraved with an armorial crest. It has upturned reeded handles, and floral scrolled handle on the cover. Stamped with the makers device I. In a couple of areas.
