This is a lovely and very ornate Victorian silver plated folding box. It is in very good condition and stands firmly on 4 legs. It has a scalloped shaped body and when closed both halves are firmly held in place with the intricate fastening mechanism. The interiors to the two halves are richly gilded and the biscuits are held in place by a pierced hinged lid. The biscuit box is within an overall stand which is topped with a carrying loop.

Width when opened 34 cms (13.5 ins). Height when closed 27 cms (10.5 ins).
